The meeting took place with a quorum as provided under MITSC Bylaw I.F.

MITSC research project

John Dieffenbacher-Krall reported the Commissioner scores he had received prior to the meeting pertinent to the four proposals under consideration. Bert Polchies moved that the Commission retain the Indigenous Peoples Rights Clinic of Suffolk U. Law School to conduct the research as described in their proposal “Research on the Drafting and Enactment of the Maine Indian Claims Settlement Act” dated January 2016. Roy Partridge seconded the motion. It passed unanimously.

Maine Community Foundation grant programs

Bert Polchies moved that the Commission submit a grant application to the Maine Community Foundation Community Building program for the upcoming grant deadline of February 15, 2016.  Steve Holmes seconded the motion.  It passed unanimously. Roy Partridge moved, Bert Polchies seconded a motion to adjourn.  It passed unanimously.
