The primary research site for Maine law, operated by the Maine State Law Library, this site has links to Maine Civil Rules (Departments of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, Marine Resources, etc.), legislative history of enacted bills, and a searchable database of the Maine Revised Statutes.
National Tribal Justice Resource Center
A project of the National American Indian Court Judges Association, this site is a national clearinghouse for the Tribal justice system. It includes Tribal court opinions, codes, constitutions, publications, and training events.
Tribal Court Clearinghouse
This site contains model Tribal codes and links to Tribal courts, and provides information and resources to people working in Native American Tribal courts.
Indian Law Resource Center
The Indian Law Resource Center is an advocacy organization whose mission is to protect the human rights, culture, and traditional lands of Native Americans. The Center maintains information on Tribal codes and ordinances.
National Indian Law Library
The National Indian Law Library (NILL) online catalog provides access to descriptions of every title held in the NILL collection. Most of the 10,000+ information resources indexed in the catalog can be delivered to patrons for a nominal fee via document delivery or interlibrary loan service. The library catalog also provides links to many free resources that are available on the Internet. While the NILL catalog is a good place to start with your research, please do not hesitate to ask a reference librarian for help finding additional information. NARF is a non-profit advocacy organization providing legal representation and technical assistance to Tribes, organizations, and individuals nationwide. NARF also operates the National Indian Law Library.
